Tom has over 35 years of experience in the information technology, healthcare and manufacturing industries. He retired from Ernst & Young, LLP ("E&Y"), Philadelphia in 1999. During his career with them he was responsible for leading several of their regional business units in the Consulting Services Division. Shortly after his retirement, Mr. Shaffert joined CD Ventures, Berwyn, PA, as an Executive Director where he served as the first Chairman of Executive Air Support, Inc. (EAS), a consolidation of fixed base operations ("FBOs") at eight major airports. He was actively involved in raising its capital resources and in the acquisition of the FBOs. In 2002, he became a Founding Partner and Managing Director of Falcon Capital Partners, LLC, Radnor, PA, a firm providing Strategic Advisory and M & A services to privately-owned companies with revenues in the range of $5 to $20 million. Tom has also been a senior executive and a member of the Corporate Management Committee at Shared Medical Systems Corporation (now Siemens). Before joining SMS, he was a Partner in the Consulting Services Division at Arthur Andersen & Co. ("AA&Co."), now Accenture.
Mr. Shaffert serves as a member of the Board of Directors of D'Ambrosio Bakery, LLC, Resource Associates Corporation and HRDQ, a provider of soft skill training courses and related consulting services. Tom also serves on the boards of Benefits Data Trust, Chester County Council Boy Scouts of America and the Krall Center for Corporate and Executive Education at Drexel University. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Drexel University and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
